Hailing from England, 19 year old singer Denai Moore performs an enchanting combination of soul and folk. Her stripped down vocal style is reminiscent of James Blake and Bon Iver and she possesses a maturity beyond her years. Once you hear her voice, you’ll definitely be playing Denai Moore on repeat.

Her EP, The Lake is available on itunes.

The mesmerizing, future soul sounds of Hiatus Kaiyote

The band Hiatus Kaiyote, natives of Melbourne, Australia, perform what they describe as Multi-dimensional Polyrhythmic Gangster Shit. Pretty out there, but there’s something oddly familiar about the band. Maybe it’s the soulful, jazzy overtones of the band or the singer, Nai Palm’s remarkable voice that sometimes sounds like Bjork, sometimes Erykah Badu sometimes Janelle Monae, but always sounds on point. Whatever it is, you can’t help but get hooked on their amazing music.

Hiatus Kaiyote has received widespread adoration from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Questlove, Q-Tip and yes, Erykah Badu. Their album, Tawk Tomahawk was released in July 2013 and is available for purchase on the iTunes store.

Special thanks to my buddy Mark Loucks who put me on to this incredible band.
