Canada Goose & Levi’s strike gold

Two of North America’s most iconic brands have teamed up to produce a fantastic series of limited edition winter wear. The collaboration between Canada Goose and Levi’s is inspired by pioneering spirit of the Gold Rushes of the late 1800s and ties in perfectly with the heritage of both brands.

Three of Canada Goose’s most recognized garments, the Chilliwack Bomber, the Banff Parka and the Freestyle Vest, have been blended with Levi’s denim and leather accents. The garments which play to the strengths of both brands, were produced in limited runs of 300 and will be available for purchase from select Levi’s and Canada Goose stores. Be warned though, they do not come cheap.

Taken by Trees | The amazing AudioTree live sessions

To any fans of Taken by Trees, I apologize for the misleading headline. I’m a huge fan too. This post however, is about the amazing, Chicago-based music company, Audiotree.

In a previous post about discovering new music, I mentioned that subscribing to channels on YouTube is a great way for hearing new tunes. I recently subscribed to the Audiotreetv channel and I have not been disappointed. Not even a little bit.

What I love about Audiotree is the incredible plethora of live sessions they’ve hosted with artists including, Company of Thieves, O’Brother,Toy Soldiers and one of my new favorites, San Fermin. You can listen to individual tracks of each session or even check out and download the entire sessions on their website:

The website boasts some really tight design, fantastic sessions and is really easy to navigate.

Be sure to check out their YouTube channel and visit their website.

I love Hip Hop and Jazz and when the two meet, the results are usually amazing. Think of Guru’s Jazzmatazz records or Ronny Jordon and DJ Krush collabo, Bad Brothers. So I was blown away when I stumbled upon an amazing series of redesigned Wu Tang Clan covers. Logan Walters, a Detroit-based Graphic Designer has created a fantastic series of reimagined Wu Tang Clan album covers, cleverly referred to as Wu Notes. The designs take their cues from the work of legendary designer Reid Miles, who together with photographer, Francis Wolff, was responsible for the iconic Blue Note Records cover designs. The result is amazing. Check out these designs and more of Logan Walters’ work at

And enjoy the tunes inspired by Hip Hop and Jazz crossover.
