It’s not very often that you play an album from start to finish without even once reaching over to change the track. When that happens, you know you’re listening to something special.
It happened to me in 1998, when I first heard Lauryn Hill’s timeless classic, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The debut album of the former Fugees rapper/singer, seamlessly explored themes of love and heartbreak, religion and rebellion while keeping you enthralled with it’s creativity and incredible production.
Widely acclaimed as one of the best albums of the nineties, it won Miss Hill FIVE Grammy Awards. Enjoy this little trip down memory lane as we all wonder just what happened to Lauryn Hill and when we’ll get to hear something new.
