French Street artist JR, renowned for his evocative, larger than life, black and white portraits, has struck again. In his latest project, Wrinkles in the City, portraits of elderly people adorn the walls of buildings in Berlin. Wrinkles in the City is an ongoing project that explores the experiences of older people who have lived through multiple changes and social upheaval in their cities. Other cities that have been part of this interesting, ongoing project are Los Angeles, Havana, Cartagena and Shanghai.
Here’s a look at the images in Berlin and a great video of the project in Shanghai.
