Jason de Caires Taylor, an English Guyanese sculptor, creates a very different kind of public art. He creates emotional and evocative sculptures from concrete and then submerges them on the ocean floor. The works, which can be found off the coasts of Mexico and Grenada, eventually erode and become covered in algae and coral and comment on the relationship between art and nature.
